Evidence and research
What is red light, and where can I read the research on it?
Red light sits at roughly 630 to 660 nanometres, the visible red part of the spectrum. Our studies pages list published research on it, with a link to each source.
These studies are listed for reference only. They are not claims about what our saunas do.
Red light therapy is photobiomodulation (PBM): light at intensities too low to heat tissue, used to change how cells behave. Wavelength decides how deep light reaches and what absorbs it, and red light at 630 to 660 nm is the visible part of the band.
Our Red Light sauna’s spectrum runs from 460 nm to 12,000 nm, with no ultraviolet emission.

Red light sessions are wellness sessions, not a treatment for any condition. If you have a health concern, speak to your doctor.
