Running a spa or clinic
What does my spa need in place before it can offer ozone therapy?
Before taking bookings you need trained staff, a client intake form, a documented screening and cleaning process, a room of at least 2 m × 2 m with suitable power, and your own insurance. We supply manuals, training videos, and client intake and consent forms; theBooking.site adds signed disclaimers and an audit trail.
The room. Minimum 2 m × 2 m, optimally 3 m × 3 m or larger. Total electrical draw including the oxygen concentrator is 1,750 W. Power: 220 V / 10 A. For the 110 V versions (ordered from the international section): Red Light 110 V / 13.5 A; Standard and Deluxe 110 V / 11 A. The oxygen concentrator runs on its own separate socket (300–450 W). A 110 V sauna needs its own dedicated circuit. Before delivery, ask a qualified electrician to confirm that your circuit and socket can carry the sauna’s rated current continuously. Either way, plan two outlets. No plumbing or drainage is needed. Normal room ventilation is sufficient.
Training. We provide comprehensive training, manuals and support, with additional session guidance and safety measures through theBooking.site. It is not an accredited qualification and there is no certificate.
Consent. Client intake and consent forms come with the sauna. If you take bookings through theBooking.site, each client accepts the platform’s legal terms at registration, the platform keeps an audit trail, and clients are prompted to update key health data every three months.
Screening. Our contraindication list is set out in who should not use an ozone sauna — it covers conditions such as recent heart attack or stroke, active bleeding, menstruation, pregnancy, active hyperthyroidism, platelet disorders and thrombosis. A client who is menstruating should wait until her period has finished. Our temperature guidance is 30 °C to 37 °C for a first session, with anything above 37 °C reserved for people in good health. Build both into an intake form rather than relying on staff memory.
A written cleaning routine. Whatever your local authority requires for shared body-contact equipment, have it documented and logged before an inspection. Every model has disinfection options, always run with no one inside the sauna, and the Red Light has an automatic ozone disinfection cycle, run with no one inside the sauna between sessions; ozone is a recognised disinfectant, but the wipe-down is the routine clean and it is what an inspector will ask about.
Insurance. Yours to arrange. TheBooking.site offers no insurance of any nature and all outlets are independent providers. Confirm with your insurer that ozone steam sauna treatment is a named, covered activity.
Regulation. We sell our saunas as wellness devices, not medical devices. What you may offer and how you may describe it is set by your regulator and professional body — check both before you advertise.
