Adjunctive therapy
An adjunct is used in addition to a primary treatment, not instead of it. The term is standard in clinical medicine and it carries a specific commitment: the main treatment continues unchanged, and the adjunct is judged on whether it adds anything on top.
Also called adjunct, complementary treatment
The precise meaning
If a treatment is adjunctive, the trial design that supports it compares standard care alone against standard care plus the adjunct. It does not compare the adjunct against standard care. That distinction matters because it determines what a positive result means: the adjunct helped when added to proper treatment.
“Complementary” is a looser word and often means much the same thing in wellness contexts.
How it relates to our saunas
Our saunas are wellness equipment, not a treatment, so they are not an adjunct to one. If you are under a doctor’s care, that care carries on unchanged. See does not replace medical care.
Why it matters here
Our saunas are wellness equipment, not a treatment, adjunctive or otherwise. If you are under a doctor's care, that care carries on unchanged.
