Buying and financing an ozone sauna
This guide follows a Salvagente ozone sauna purchase in the order it happens, from enquiry and quotation through payment, shipping, delivery and warranty. It sets out what we do, what is yours to arrange, and what to get in writing on the quotation before you pay.
An ozone steam sauna is a considered purchase, so this guide follows the process in the order it actually happens: enquiry, quotation, payment, shipping, delivery, warranty. It tells you what we do, what you are responsible for, and what to get in writing before you pay.
Who you are buying from
Salvagente Pty Ltd is registered in South Africa (registration number 2007/023919/07), with its registered office at Menlyn Maine, Pegasus Building 1, 210 Amarand Avenue, Waterkloof Glen ext 2, Pretoria. We hand craft our saunas in South Africa.
We make three models: the Standard, the Deluxe and the Red Light ozone steam sauna. Each has its own product page, and that page — not this guide — carries the current specification, the what’s-in-the-box list and the current price for your market.
Outside South Africa we often work through a reseller. Get in touch through any model page and we will direct your enquiry to the reseller in your region; the resellers who can assist you are listed on our website. Where a reseller quotes, invoices and delivers, that reseller is your contracting seller, which affects whose consumer law applies to the sale. Ask us at quotation stage and we will confirm it in writing.
Where we sell
We ship worldwide, with specialised service in South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, the United Kingdom, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy.
Inside South Africa our couriers deliver to any physical address. International shipments go through freight forwarders and are quoted case by case, with a choice of air or sea freight. We ship them DAP (Incoterms® 2020): import duties, taxes and customs clearance are the buyer’s responsibility, unless otherwise specified on the invoice. Where we offer it, we can help you arrange clearance. Orders delivered outside South Africa include a complimentary spare-parts set, listed on your invoice, so small repairs need not wait for freight. South African orders do not include the set; we supply warranty parts directly.
How an order comes together
- You enquire through the product page for the model you want, or through our contact page. Sales is on +27 (0) 72 422 1967 and info@salvagente.co.za, Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00 South African Standard Time. Our Pretoria office is administrative only and holds no stock, so we arrange demonstrations in advance.
- We issue a quotation. Unless it says otherwise, it can be accepted for 7 days.
- Placing an order is an offer to buy. The contract forms when we email you the order confirmation.
- South African orders are invoiced with VAT.
- Payment is due in full on presentation of our tax invoice, and we do not dispatch until it reflects.
One clause is worth reading twice: our salespeople cannot vary the terms of sale. Only a written statement signed by a manager or director binds us, so anything you have been told verbally about a delivery date or an included extra belongs on the quotation.
Delivery, risk and insurance
We deliver by door-to-door courier to the address you give us, unless your invoice says otherwise. Risk in the sauna passes to you on delivery.
We insure every shipment. Ownership works separately from risk: title stays with us until the price and any other amounts owing are paid in full. International orders ship DAP (Incoterms® 2020): import duties, taxes and customs clearance are the buyer’s responsibility, unless otherwise specified on the invoice. Where we offer it, we can help you arrange clearance.
If you ask us to delay delivery, or a delivery fails for a reason within your control, we may charge reasonable, documented storage or redelivery costs. Our terms of sale set out when.
Lead times
Your sauna ships within a week. That is an estimate, based on current orders. In South Africa, delivery is by appointment. Outside South Africa, after dispatch, air freight takes 7 to 10 days and sea freight 10 to 12 weeks. If we expect a delay, we will tell you. Ask for an estimated dispatch date on the quotation. When your sauna leaves us we send tracking by email or SMS.
When it arrives
Inspect the crate and the unit before the carrier leaves, and note any damage or missing items on the carrier’s delivery document. If that is not possible, email us with photos within 2 business days. Our carriers produce a Proof of Delivery, and where an item is damaged or the packaging is not intact, both the carrier’s representative and the person receiving must sign to that effect. A damaged item goes back with the carrier, and we put it right at our cost. Do not sign a clean delivery note for a damaged crate. Checking on delivery helps us claim from the carrier; it does not reduce your rights.
Saunas have to be uncrated to fit through a normal doorway, and they should never be tilted onto their side or backwards while being moved. Four lockable castors hold the sauna in place once it is sited.
Warranty
Every new sauna, and the oxygen concentrator supplied with it, carries a two-year limited warranty from the date of delivery. Orders delivered outside South Africa include a complimentary spare-parts set, listed on your invoice, so small repairs need not wait for freight. South African orders do not include the set; we supply warranty parts directly. Our technicians can guide a repair online where needed.
Cover is for defects in materials and workmanship that appear inside the warranty period. It does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, or damage caused by repair work not done by us or by a person following our instructions, and we ask for your order number with any claim. Two things are worth knowing in advance: follow the maintenance instructions in the manual, and use verified distilled water. Both are cheap to comply with.
Returns and cancellation
You have 14 days after delivery to return the sauna. You prepay the return freight, and delivery and other secondary charges are not refunded, except where the law says otherwise; if you are a consumer, cooling-off rights in South Africa, the EU and the UK refund more than this voluntary return. You can also cancel before we dispatch. The full rules are in our Returns policy.
Paying and financing
In South Africa, pay by bank transfer; card payment is not offered there. Outside South Africa, pay by bank transfer or card. Bank transfers go into an account in our name, and we dispatch only once we have received full payment. South African invoices carry VAT, which VAT-registered businesses can claim back.
There is one finance route today. In South Africa we offer a trade rental option through a registered credit provider, open to registered companies that have been trading for at least a year. Affirm buy now, pay later for US buyers is not available at the moment.
What it costs
Prices live on the product page for each model — Standard, Deluxe and Red Light — because that is where we keep them current for each market. Then ask us for a written quotation for your country. A good quotation names the model and what is in the box, the currency and the exact amount, whether tax is included, what delivery and insurance cover, the warranty term, and an estimated dispatch date. That is the document worth comparing.
