Servicing, faults and parts

What warranty comes with my ozone sauna, and what does it not cover?

Every new Salvagente sauna, and the oxygen concentrator supplied with it, carries a two-year limited warranty from the date of delivery. It does not cover normal wear and tear, or damage caused by accident, misuse, power surges, modification, not following the operating manual, or repair by someone other than us or a person following our instructions.

The cover

We warrant that your new Salvagente sauna and the oxygen concentrator supplied with it will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for two years from the date of delivery. The warranty covers the first owner, meaning the person who bought the sauna from us. It applies to home and business use alike. Orders delivered outside South Africa include a complimentary spare-parts set, listed on your invoice, so small repairs need not wait for freight. South African orders do not include the set; we supply warranty parts directly.

What we will do

If a covered defect appears, we will repair the sauna or replace the defective part. If neither is practical, we will replace the sauna or refund the price you paid.

  • In South Africa we do this free of charge for parts and labour. We assess the fault with you online, then send a technician or ask for the parts tray back.
  • Outside South Africa we diagnose the fault with you remotely and guide you through the repair by online video. We replace, exchange or help you repair any defective part that came with your sauna, using your spare-parts set, if your order included one, where it has the part. Other smaller parts needed for the repair, and the cost of an electrician or technician, are for your account. In Australia, these costs stay with us where the failure is covered by the consumer guarantees.

What is not covered

  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Damage caused by accident or misuse; not following the operating manual or the safety instructions, including using extension leads or not using two dedicated wall sockets; power surges; modification; or repair by someone other than us or a person following our instructions.
  • Cosmetic wear that does not affect how the sauna works.
  • Accessories we did not supply, including fans (sold separately).

Repair by someone else

Having the sauna serviced or repaired by someone else does not cancel this warranty. We simply do not cover damage that the work caused. Ask us first: we can usually diagnose the fault with you online.

How to claim

Before the two years end, email info@salvagente.co.za or call us. Give us your order number, a description of the problem, and photos or a short video. If the sauna seems unsafe, stop using it and switch it off at the wall.

Out of warranty

Parts needed outside warranty are for your account, and products outside warranty require a deposit before repairs begin.

This warranty is in addition to your rights under consumer law and does not affect them. Our Two-Year Limited Warranty sets out the rights that apply where you are.
