Questions (14)
- An alarm is sounding from my ozone sauna. What does it mean?An alarm from a Salvagente ozone sauna is usually the air flow alarm, which sounds when too little oxygen is passing over the ozone generator. Check the oxygen concentrator is running and the tubing is clear. A low-water warning is different: it pauses the session until you refill the bottle.
- Water is running to the front of my ozone sauna and it is not heating up. What do I do?Water pooling at the front of a Salvagente ozone sauna with no heat usually means water has been left under the footrest. Switch the sauna off, remove the water bottle at the back, mop out all the water under the footrest, refit a full bottle and run a session.
- There is suddenly a lot of steam escaping from my ozone sauna. Is something broken?A little steam escaping from an ozone sauna is normal, and it is more visible in cold weather as it condenses on the cool outside surface. A sudden increase usually means the rubber seals along the bottom of the doors have been kicked out of place. Press them back without glue.
- I can't smell ozone in my sauna any more. Is the ozonator still producing ozone?Use the glove test on a Salvagente ozone sauna: with the oxygen concentrator running and ozone on, hold a latex glove in front of the ozone outlet for a few seconds. Ozone oxidises latex, so a hole should appear. Do not test by smell — ozone is toxic to inhale and operators become desensitised to it.
- My ozone sauna is not producing ozone. What are the likely causes? If a latex glove held at your ozone sauna's outlet develops no hole, check that the oxygen concentrator is switched on and running at its 2 litres per minute feed, that no pipe is pinched, blocked or disconnected, and that the fitting holding the ozone pipe inside the sauna has not been screwed on too tightly.
- How often should my ozone sauna be serviced, and what does a service include?Regular scheduled servicing is not required when a Salvagente ozone sauna is well maintained and kept clean. The daily and weekly owner routine is the maintenance. For anything beyond that, contact us or the reseller who sold you the sauna rather than a general technician.
- What are the consumables on an ozone sauna, and how often do they need replacing? The running consumables on a Salvagente ozone sauna are verified distilled water for the steam, electricity, and the oxygen concentrator's filters, which are cleaned or replaced depending on use. One bottle of distilled water covers four to eight sessions. We cost water and electricity at about R20 per session in South Africa.
- How do I look after the oxygen concentrator and its filters?Keep the oxygen concentrator in a well-ventilated spot with clear airflow, dry and away from spilt water, and clean or replace its filters depending on use. Every concentrator we supply is a 5 l/min unit at 93% ±3% purity, rated for continuous operation.
- How should I store my ozone sauna if I am not going to use it for months? Before a long break, get the sauna dry: empty the water bottle, clear the water from under the footrest, wipe the sauna out and let it dry fully. Switch the sauna off first, then the oxygen concentrator, then unplug at the wall. Store it indoors, dry and dust-free.
- What warranty comes with my ozone sauna, and what does it not cover?Every new Salvagente sauna, and the oxygen concentrator supplied with it, carries a two-year limited warranty from the date of delivery. It does not cover normal wear and tear, or damage caused by accident, misuse, power surges, modification, not following the operating manual, or repair by someone other than us or a person following our instructions.
- Is it safe to have my ozone sauna serviced or repaired by an outside technician?Ask us first. Having someone else service or repair your Salvagente ozone sauna does not cancel the warranty, but we do not cover damage that the work causes. We support owners online, our technicians can guide a local electrician through a repair, and the resellers who can assist are listed on our website.
- How do I order genuine parts or get support for my ozone sauna?Contact us on info@salvagente.co.za or the sales line +27 (0) 72 422 1967, which also takes text and WhatsApp messages, Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00 South African Standard Time. Have your order number, your sauna model and a clear description of the fault ready.
- Can my ozone sauna be repaired if I am not in South Africa?Yes. We diagnose most faults remotely, our technicians can guide a local electrician through a repair, and the resellers who can assist are listed on our website. New international orders also ship with a free set of spare parts so that small repairs do not wait on freight.
- My oxygen concentrator has failed — can I get a replacement or a spare?Yes. Contact us and we will supply a replacement oxygen concentrator for your ozone sauna. Every unit we supply is a 5 l/min concentrator at 93% ±3% purity. Concentrators are no longer sold as standalone accessories, so pricing comes with the quotation rather than from a catalogue.
