Choosing an ozone sauna
Compare the models, read the specifications properly and check a seller before you pay.
Questions (11)
- Which ozone sauna should I buy: the Standard, Deluxe or Red Light model? We build three ozone steam saunas, and every one of them carries 12 micron far infrared. The Standard takes users up to 120 kg. The Deluxe is 200 mm longer and rated to 180 kg. The Red Light, our flagship, adds near infrared and visible red, blue and green light.
- What does "47 ppm at 2 l/min (500 mg/h)" mean on an ozone sauna spec sheet? Our ozone specification is 47 ppm at 2 l/min (500 mg/h). The 500 mg/h is what the generator produces; 2 l/min is the constant oxygen feed; and 47 ppm is the resulting ozone concentration across the whole air volume inside the sauna, not in the delivery line.
- What does the Red Light ozone sauna add over the Deluxe? The Red Light ozone sauna is our flagship: seven modalities in one cabinet. It adds near infrared at 850 nm and visible red, blue and green light from 460 nm to the ozone, steam and far infrared the Standard and Deluxe carry. Its full specification and price are on the Red Light product page.
- What comes with an ozone sauna when I buy one?Every ozone sauna we sell — Standard, Deluxe and Red Light — includes a medical oxygen concentrator and needs no plumbing. In every market, a new sauna and its concentrator carry a two-year limited warranty for the first owner. Orders delivered outside South Africa include a complimentary spare-parts set, listed on your invoice, so small repairs need not wait for freight. South African orders do not include the set; we supply warranty parts directly. Each model's product page carries its what's-in-the-box list.
- What does 12 micron far infrared and a 1500 W element mean for me?On our Standard and Deluxe ozone saunas, '12 micron' is the far infrared rating we quote; it names a band, not the emitter's peak wavelength. A micron is a thousandth of a millimetre, so 12 microns is 12,000 nanometres. Far infrared is absorbed at the skin and warms you directly. The separate 1500 W element generates the steam. Every model in our range carries far infrared.
- How much space does an ozone sauna need, and what does the room have to have? Our Standard ozone sauna is 1180 mm high, 680 mm wide — 1360 mm with the doors open — and 1200 mm long; the Deluxe is 1400 mm long. We recommend a room of at least 2 m by 2 m, with 3 m by 3 m or larger ideal. No plumbing is required.
- Can I use ozone in a wooden sauna? No. We advise against ozone in a wooden sauna for two reasons: most wooden saunas enclose your head, so you would inhale ozone throughout the session; and you cannot connect a medical oxygen source to make pure ozone.
- What questions should I ask an ozone sauna seller before I pay?Ask an ozone sauna seller: is the unit manufactured locally or imported; what is the ozone output and at what oxygen flow rate; is a medical oxygen concentrator included; does the user's head stay outside; what warranty applies, for how long, and who honours it; and where do spare parts and servicing come from.
- How do I check that an ozone sauna seller is legitimate before I pay? Before paying for an ozone sauna, ask for contactable existing clients, confirm the trading entity's registration, and establish whether the seller manufactures or resells. Verify any claimed dealership with the manufacturer directly. Treat pressure for immediate cash payment and steep cancellation fees as warnings.
- What is the difference between an ozone sauna and a far infrared sauna?A far infrared sauna delivers radiant dry heat only. Our ozone steam saunas combine steam, ozone generated from a medical oxygen concentrator, and 12 micron far infrared in one cabinet, with your head outside so you do not inhale ozone. Our Red Light model adds near infrared and visible light on top.
- What does CE marking mean on an ozone sauna, and what does it cover? Each of our current models (Standard, Deluxe and Red Light) carries CE marking. CE marking is the manufacturer's declaration that the product meets EU product-safety rules; it is not a medical approval. We can send the Declaration of Conformity for your model on request.
