Servicing, faults and parts
Water is running to the front of my ozone sauna and it is not heating up. What do I do?
Water pooling at the front of a Salvagente ozone sauna with no heat usually means water has been left under the footrest. Switch the sauna off, remove the water bottle at the back, mop out all the water under the footrest, refit a full bottle and run a session.
This is one of the most common faults owners report, and in most cases it is not a failure of the heating element at all. It is water that has accumulated under the footrest from previous sessions and is sitting where it should not be.
The fix
- Switch the sauna off at the control panel.
- Take the water bottle out at the back of the sauna.
- Clean out all the water under the footrest, not most of it.
- Refit a full water bottle of verified distilled water.
- Run a normal session and confirm the sauna heats.
Preventing it coming back
Clear the water from under the footrest between sessions, every time. In a clinic running back-to-back appointments this belongs in the 5-minute turnaround alongside wiping the seat, doors and floor down and resetting the towels. Left to build up over several sessions, the water migrates forward as the sauna is used and moved on its castors.
Related checks
- Confirm there was water in the bottle at the back before the session started. If the level runs low or empty the sauna sounds a warning and pauses the session, so a paused session with a dry bottle is a different fault from this one.
- Mop up any spilt water on the floor, particularly near the oxygen concentrator or any electrical wiring.
When to call us
If you have cleared the footrest completely, fitted a full water bottle and the sauna still does not heat, stop and contact us rather than continuing to run it. Persistent failure to heat with a dry footrest points at the element or the control electronics. Do not open it up: we support owners online, and where a physical repair is needed our technicians can guide a local electrician through it.
