Operating your sauna
How do I seat a client and get them in and out of the ozone sauna?
Set the seat height before the client arrives, help them step in and sit with their head out of the top opening, then close the doors and cover the neck opening with a towel. Stay within earshot throughout, and support them as they step out at the end.
Before the client steps in
- Set the seat. The Standard has four seat levels and the Deluxe five. Adjust it dry, before the session, not with someone standing in a hot sauna.
- Check the size limits: the sauna takes users up to about 2 m (6 ft 5 in) tall, and rated user weight is 120 kg on the Standard and 180 kg (about 397 lb) on the Deluxe. Figures for the Red Light model are on its product page.
- Have a towel ready for the neck opening and a second one for the seat.
Getting in
The client sits with their head outside the sauna. That is the whole safety principle of this design: the head stays out and the neck opening is covered, so the client is not breathing the ozone and steam mixture. Close the doors gently and check the neck seal is comfortable, not tight.
During
A trained person must be present and within call during every client’s session, with constant supervision for a child. To get out, the client opens the doors and steps out. The person running the session switches the sauna off at its wall socket. If a client feels unwell, follow the steps on what to do if a client feels unwell.
The controls are on the door, so you can adjust without disturbing the client, and they can talk to you throughout. If they say they feel uncomfortably hot, reduce the heat immediately.
Getting out
- Open the doors and let the client sit for a moment before standing.
- Watch their feet. Kicked door rubbers are the usual cause of heavy steam escape next session; press a dislodged one back into place without glue.
- Wrap them warmly and settle them somewhere to rest for about 20 minutes.
