Getting started and your first session
How many ozone sauna sessions should I start with, and how often?
We recommend starting with at least 10 ozone steam sauna sessions rather than judging on one or two, at 1 to 3 sessions a week to begin with, building up after 2 to 3 weeks. If you have a health condition, speak to your doctor before you start.
Frequency sits alongside session length, temperature and ozone level. The patterns below are a guide, and they vary from person to person. The full session guidance goes out with each sauna alongside the operating manual.
For someone healthy starting out:
- First-time users: 1 to 3 sessions a week, building up gradually after 2 to 3 weeks.
- Healthy individuals: 2 to 3 sessions a week for a month, then about 10 sessions a month.
- Athletes and similar: daily or every other day, particularly before and after events.
If you have a health condition, speak to your doctor before you start.
Can I go daily?
Daily use is possible once your body is used to it, but it is an end point rather than a starting point. A 30-minute steam session is a real cardiovascular load; not everyone should be taking that daily, and some people should not be taking it at all.
Two other things worth knowing before you commit. The 10-session starting block is why outlets usually sell sessions in blocks of 10. And consistency matters more than intensity: stopping for several weeks means starting again rather than picking up where you left off.
