Layer analysis
Choose a layer to read what ozone does there.
L1 · EPIDERMAL BARRIER
The outermost layer, and the first ozone reaches. In the model, most of the dose reacts here, on contact with the surface of the skin.
L2 · DERMAL ENGINE
Below the barrier. In the model, a smaller share of the dose diffuses this far — not as ozone, but as the by-products of the reaction above.
CAPILLARY BED
In the model, a portion of what diffuses reaches the capillary bed. The model does not follow it further.
L3 · HYPODERMAL MATRIX
The deepest layer in the model. Whatever is not taken up above reaches the adipose layer here, where the model ends.
